Who We Are

HopeNow Philippines Foundation emerged to help address the lack of immediate medical care in the wake of a natural disaster. In the aftermath of typhoon Yolanda’s widespread destruction and the earthquake that rocked Bohol, Manny O. of Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and the award-winning Manny O. Wines envisions a greater purpose - to provide HOPE to every Filipino who has lost hope due to circumstances beyond their control. To give hope now.

Incorporated on October 9, 2014, its founding members are Manny O., Dr. Lucio Tan of the LT Group, Tessie Sy-Coson of the SM Group, Tony Meloto of Gawad Kalinga, World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders Karen Davila and Winston Damarillo.

What We Do

The Foundation’s initial mission is to launch all-terrain mobile hospitals to affected areas in the event of a calamity, to help address the unmet health needs of disaster victims and vulnerable people.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Koleen Davila-Palaganas

Koleen Davila-Palaganas

She has served in the development sector for more than 15 years. She has served in multiple roles with Habitat for Humanity International, in both the European and Asian Area Offices. Koleen has focused mainly in Program Development and Capital Campaigns. She has directed the St. Luke’s Medical Center Capital Campaign chaired by Mr. Robert Kuan and the Habitat for Humanity Philippines “I BUILD” Campaign chaired by Mr. Fernando Zobel de Ayala. She is Chief Representative of the Founder for HopeNow Philippines Foundation Inc.

Omar Franco

Omar Franco

He has taken up various leadership roles in higher education and religious organizations in the last 16 years. Mr. Franco has previously served as a graduate professor, academic dean, and a lead minister. He has also led religious organizations in urban community development and disaster relief efforts. He is Operations Manager for HopeNow Philippines Foundation Inc.

Meg Eteve

Meg Eteve

She is the Corporate Communications Director for the Manny O. Group and Executive Director of HopeNow Philippines Foundation Inc. Previously Administration Manager for the marketing and construction office of Goldland Philippines Corporation, Accounts Payable Supervisor and General Cashier at the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, Managing Partner at I.Do Events, Section Editor of Bliss at Cebu Daily News (affiliate of the Philippine Daily Inquirer), Executive Director of Creative Cebu (a British Council initiative under the Creative Cities Program), and Marketing Officer at BRIGHT Academy.
